Do you qualify? Experience and education
ASQ requires eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the CQE Body of Knowledge. At least three of those years must be in a decision-making position—meaning you have authority to define, execute, or control projects and make judgments about outcomes. The experience must be full-time paid work.
You can shorten the experience requirement with one education waiver: a technical diploma waives one year, an associate degree two years, a bachelor’s degree four years, and a master’s or doctorate five years. Exam format and logistics
The CQE is delivered as a computer-based test (CBT) in English at Prometric test centers worldwide year-round. It contains 175 multiple-choice questions, of which 160 are scored and 15 are unscored pilot questions. Your total testing time is 5.5 hours (330 minutes), giving you approximately 1.9 minutes per question.
